سنن ابوداؤد

Jarir ad-Dabbi reported: I saw Ali (Allah be pleased with him) catching hold of his left hand) by his right hand on the wrist above the navel. Abu Dawud said: Saeed bin Jubair narrated the words: above the navel . Abu Mijlaz reported the words: below the navel . This has also been narrated by Abu Hurairah. But that is not strong.

جریر ضبیی کہتے ہیں کہ

میں نے علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو دیکھا کہ وہ اپنے داہنے ہاتھ سے بائیں ہاتھ کا پہنچا ( گٹا ) پکڑے ہوئے ناف کے اوپر رکھے ہوئے ہیں۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: سعید بن جبیر سے «فوق السرة» ( ناف کے اوپر ) مروی ہے اور ابومجلز نے «تحت السرة» ( ناف کے نیچے ) کہا ہے اور یہ بات ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے بھی روایت کی گئی ہے لیکن یہ قوی نہیں۔
