صحیح بخاری

Narrated Al-Bara: When the Divine Inspiration: Those of the believers who sit (at home), was revealed the Prophet sent for Zaid (bin Thabit) who came with a shoulder-blade and wrote on it. Ibn Um-Maktum complained about his blindness and on that the following revelation came: Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) except those who are disabled (by injury, or are blind or lame etc.) and those who strive hard and fight in the Way of Allah with their wealth and lives). (4.95)

ہم سے ابوالولید نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا ابواسحاق سے کہ میں نے براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ‘ آپ کہتے تھے کہ

جب آیت «لا يستوي القاعدون من المؤمنين‏» نازل ہوئی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ ( جو کاتب وحی تھے ) کو بلایا ‘ آپ ایک چوڑی ہڈی ساتھ لے کر حاضر ہوئے اور اس آیت کو لکھا اور ابن ام مکتوم رضی اللہ عنہ نے جب اپنے نابینا ہونے کی شکایت کی تو آیت یوں نازل ہوئی «لا يستوي القاعدون من المؤمنين غير أولي الضرر» ۔
