صحیح بخاری

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said We are the last (to come amongst the nations) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection. They were given the Holy Scripture before us and we were given the Quran after them. And this was the day (Friday) about which they differed and Allah gave us the guidance (for that). So tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) is the Jews' (day), and the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday) is the Christians'. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) remained silent (for a while) and then said, It is obligatory for every Muslim that he should take a bath once in seven days, when he should wash his head and body.

ہم سے مسلم بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے وہیب بن خالد نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے عبداللہ بن طاؤس نے بیان کیا، ان سے ان کے باپ طاؤس نے، ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہم ( دنیا میں ) تو بعد میں آئے لیکن قیامت کے دن سب سے آگے ہوں گے، فرق صرف یہ ہے کہ یہود و نصاریٰ کو کتاب ہم سے پہلے دی گئی اور ہمیں بعد میں۔ تو یہ دن ( جمعہ ) وہ ہے جس کے بارے میں اہل کتاب نے اختلاف کیا، اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہمیں یہ دن بتلا دیا ( اس کے بعد ) دوسرا دن ( ہفتہ ) یہود کا دن ہے اور تیسرا دن ( اتوار ) نصاریٰ کا۔ آپ پھر خاموش ہو گئے۔
