حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَخَالِي يَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَوَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُسَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي لَأَوَّلُ الْعَرَبِ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ .

It was narrated that Qais said: I heard Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas say: 'I am the first of the Arabs to shoot an arrow in the cause of Allah.'

قیس بن ابی حازم کہتے ہیں کہ
میں نے سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ کو کہتے سنا: میں پہلا عربی شخص ہوں جس نے اللہ کی راہ میں تیر چلایا۔
