Kathir bin 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin 'Awf narrated from his father:
That his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'May Allah have mercy on the Ansar, and the children of the Ansar, and the grandchildren of the Ansar.'
عوف رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ انصار پر، ان کے بیٹوں اور پوتوں پر رحم کرے ۔

(سند میں کثیر بن عبد اللہ سخت ضعیف اور منکر الحدیث راوی ہے، اسے امام شافعی نے کذاب بلکہ رکن کذب کہا ہے، اس لئے یہ حدیث ضعیف ہے، لیکن حدیث «اللهم اغفر الأنصار وأبناء الأنصار» کے لفظ سے صحیح ہے، ملاحظہ ہو: سلسلة الاحادیث الضعیفة، للالبانی: ۳۶۴۰)
