سنن ابن ماجہ

It was narrated that ‘Adi bin Hatim said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, we hunt game but we cannot find anything but the sharp edge of a stone or stick (with which to slaughter it).’ He said: ‘Cause the blood to flow with whatever you want, and mention the Name of Allah over it.’”

عدی بن حاتم رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ

میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم شکار کرتے ہیں اور ہمیں ذبح کرنے کے لیے تیز پتھر اور دھار دار لکڑی کے سوا کچھ نہیں ملتا؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس چیز سے چاہو خون بہاؤ، اور اس پر اللہ کا نام لے لو ۔
