حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَّامُ بْنُ أَبِي مُطِيعٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ الْحَسَبُ الْمَالُ وَالْكَرَمُ التَّقْوَى .

t was narrated from Samurah bin Jundab that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Being honorable is wealth and noble character is piety.’

سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: عالیٰ نسبی ( اچھے حسب و نسب والا ہونا ) مال ہے، اور کرم ( جود و سخا اور فیاضی ) تقویٰ ہے ۱؎۔
