صحیح مسلم

Mu'adha al-'Adawiyya reported that she asked 'A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), whether the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) observed fasts for three days during every month. She said: Yes I said to her: Which were (the particular) days of the month on which he observed fast? She said: He was not particular about the days of the month on which to observe fast.

سیدہ معاذہ العدویہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا کہ کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہر ماہ میں تین روزے رکھتے تھے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہاں ۔ پھر پوچھا کہ کن دنوں میں ( روزے رکھتے تھے؟ ) انہوں نے کہا کہ کچھ پرواہ نہ کرتے ، کسی بھی دن روزہ رکھ لیتے تھے ۔
