صحیح مسلم

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: The Great and the Glorious Lord said (to angels): Whenever My bondsman intends to corn it an evil, do not record it against him, but if he actually commits it, then write it as one evil. And when he intends to do good but does not do it, then take it down is one act of goodness, but if he does it, then write down ten good deeds (in his record).

اعرج نے حضرت ابوہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ اللہ عز وجل نے فرمایا : جب میرا بندہ کسی برائی کا قصد کرے تو اس کو ( اس کے نامہ اعمال میں ) نہ لکھو ۔ اگر وہ اس کو کر گزرے تو اسے ایک برائی لکھو ۔ اور جب کسی نیکی کا قصد کرے تو اس کو ایک نیکی لکھ لو ، پھر اگر اس پر عمل کرے تو دس نیکیاں لکھو ۔ ‘ ‘
