صحیح مسلم

Abdullah b. Abu'l-Qais reported: I asked 'A'isha about the Witr (prayer) of the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) and made mention of a hadith, then I said: What did he do after having sexual intercourse? Did he take a bath before going to sleep or did he sleep before taking a bath? She said: He did all these. Some- times he took a bath and then slept, and sometimes he performed ablution only and went to sleep. I (the narrator) said: Praise be to Allah Who has made things easy (for human beings).

لیث نے معاویہ بن صالح سے ، انہوں نے عبد اللہ بن ابی قیس سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت عائشہ ؓ سے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے وتر کے بارے میں سوال کیا ..... پھر آگے حدیث بیان کی کہ میں نے پوچھا : آپ ﷺ جنابت کی صورت میں کیا کرتے تھے؟ کیا سونے سے پہلے غسل فرماتے تھے یا غسل سے پہلے سوجاتے تھے ؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا : آپ یہ سب کر لیتے تھے ، بسااوقات نہا کرسوتےاور بسا اوقات وضو کر کے سو جاتے ۔ میں نے کہا : اللہ تعالیٰ کا شکر ہے جس نے ( دین کے ) معاملے میں وسعت رکھی ہے ۔
