صحیح مسلم

Qatida reported: I heard Anas as saying that the Companion of the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) dozed off and then offered prayer and did not perform ablution. He (the narrator) said: I asked him if he had actually heard it from Anas. He said: By Allah. yes.

شعبہ نے قتادہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : میں نے سیدنا انس ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے سنا ، کہہ رہے تھے کہ رسول اللہﷺ کے صحابہ ( بیٹھے بیٹھے ) سو جاتے تھے ، پھر وضو کیے بغیر نماز پڑھ لیتے ۔ ( شعبہ کہتے ہیں : ) میں نے ( قتادہ سے ) پوچھا : آپ نے یہ حدیث انس ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے سنی ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا : ہاں! اللہ کی قسم!
