سنن ابوداؤد

میں نے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے بنو ثقیف کی بیعت کے متعلق پوچھا تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ ثقیف نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے شرط رکھی کہ نہ وہ زکاۃ دیں گے اور نہ وہ جہاد میں حصہ لیں گے۔ جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: اس کے بعد انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: جب وہ مسلمان ہو جائیں گے تو وہ زکاۃ بھی دیں گے اور جہاد بھی کریں گے ۱؎ ۔

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: Wahb said: I asked Jabir about the condition of Thaqif when they took the oath of allegiance. He said: They stipulated to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم that there would be no sadaqah (i. e. zakat) on them nor Jihad (striving in the way of Allah). He then heard the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: Later on they will give sadaqah (zakat) and will strive in the way of Allah when they embrace Islam.
