سنن ابوداؤد

ہم نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ مغرب پڑھتے تھے، پھر تیر مارتے تو ہم میں سے ہر شخص اپنے تیر کے گرنے کی جگہ دیکھ لیتا تھا۔

Anas bin Malik said: We used to offer the Maghrib prayer with the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and then shoot arrows, one of us could see the place where arrow would fall.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مغرب سورج ڈوبتے ہی پڑھتے تھے جب اس کے اوپر کا کنارہ غائب ہو جاتا۔

Salamah bin al-Akwa said: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to say the Maghrib prayer immediately after the sun had set when its upper side would disappear.

جب ابوایوب رضی اللہ عنہ ہمارے پاس جہاد کے ارادے سے آئے، ان دنوں عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ مصر کے حاکم تھے، تو عقبہ نے مغرب میں دیر کی، ابوایوب نے کھڑے ہو کر ان سے کہا: عقبہ! بھلا یہ کیا نماز ہے؟ عقبہ نے کہا: ہم مشغول رہے، انہوں نے کہا: کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے نہیں سنا کہ: میری امت ہمیشہ بھلائی یا فطرت پر رہے گی جب تک وہ مغرب میں اتنی تاخیر نہ کرے گی کہ ستارے چمکنے لگ جائیں ۔

Narrated Abu Ayyub: Marthad ibn Abdullah said: When Abu Ayyub came upon us to fight the infidels and in those days Uqbah ibn Amir was the Governor of Egypt, he (Uqbah) delayed the sunset prayer. Hence Abu Ayyub stood and said: What kind of prayer is this, Uqbah? He said: We were busy. He said: Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: My community will remain well, or he said: will remain on its natural condition, so long as it would not delay the evening prayer until the stars shine brightly just like a network.
