سنن ابوداؤد

کے دادا عرفجہ بن اسعد کی ناک جنگ کلاب ۱؎ کے دن کاٹ لی گئی، تو انہوں نے چاندی کی ایک ناک بنوائی، انہیں اس کی بدبو محسوس ہوئی، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں حکم دیا، تو انہوں نے سونے کی ناک بنوا لی ۲؎۔

Abdur Rahman ibn Tarafah said that his grandfather Arfajah ibn Asad who had his nose cut off at the battle of al-Kilab got a silver nose, but it developed a stench, so the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ordered him to get a gold nose.

میں نے ابواشہب سے پوچھا: عبدالرحمٰن بن طرفہ نے اپنے دادا عرفجہ کا زمانہ پایا ہے، تو انہوں نے کہا: ہاں ( پایا ہے ) ۔

The tradition mentioned above (No. 4220) has also been transmitted by Arfajah ibn Asad through a different chain to the same effect. Yazid said: I asked AbulAshhab: Did Abdur Rahman ibn Tarafah meet his grandfather Arfajah? He replied: Yes.

حدیث مروی ہے۔
