سنن ابوداؤد

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: دو آدمی تیسرے کو چھوڑ کر سرگوشی نہ کریں، کیونکہ یہ چیز اسے رنجیدہ کر دے گی ۔

Abdullah (bin Masud) reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Two persons should not talk privately ignoring the third, for that will grieve him.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسی کے مثل فرمایا، ابوصالح کہتے ہیں: میں نے ابن عمر سے کہا: اگر چار آدمی ہوں تو؟ وہ بولے ( تو کوئی حرج نہیں ) اس لیے کہ یہ چیز تم کو ایذاء نہ دے گی۔

A similar tradition has been transmitted by Ibn Umar through a different chain of narrators. This version has: Abu Salih said: I asked Ibn Umar: If they are four? He replied: then it does not harm you.
