سنن ابوداؤد

میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: تین آدمی کسی بستی یا جنگل میں ہوں اور وہ جماعت سے نماز نہ پڑھیں تو ان پر شیطان مسلط ہو جاتا ہے، لہٰذا تم جماعت کو لازم پکڑو، اس لیے کہ بھیڑیا اسی بکری کو کھاتا ہے جو ریوڑ سے الگ ہوتی ہے ۔ زائدہ کا بیان ہے: سائب نے کہا: جماعت سے مراد نماز باجماعت ہے۔

Narrated Abud Darda: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: If there are three men in a village or in the desert among whom prayer is not offered (in congregation), the devil has got the mastery over them. So observe (prayer) in congregation), for the wolf eats only the straggling animal. Saib said: By the word Jama'ah he meant saying prayer in company or in congregation.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں نے سوچا کہ نماز کھڑی کرنے کا حکم دوں، پھر ایک شخص کو حکم دوں کہ وہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائے، اور میں چند آدمیوں کو لے کر جن کے ساتھ لکڑیوں کے گٹھر ہوں، ان لوگوں کے پاس جاؤں، جو نماز باجماعت میں حاضر نہیں ہوتے اور ان کے گھروں میں آگ لگا دوں ۔

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying; I thought to give orders for arranging prayer in congregation, and then to have the Iqamah called for it, then to order a man to lead the people in prayer, then to go off in company of the people who have bundles of firewood to those people who are not present at the prayer and then to burn down their houses with fire.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں نے ارادہ کیا کہ اپنے جوانوں کو لکڑیوں کے گٹھر جمع کرنے کا حکم دوں، پھر میں ان لوگوں کے پاس جو بغیر کسی عذر کے اپنے گھروں میں نماز پڑھ لیا کرتے ہیں، جاؤں اور ان کے گھروں کو ان کے سمیت آگ لگا دوں ۔ یزید بن یزید کہتے ہیں: میں نے یزید بن اصم سے پوچھا: ابوعوف! کیا اس سے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مراد جمعہ ہے، یا اور وقتوں کی نماز؟ فرمایا: میرے کان بہرے ہو جائیں اگر میں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو اسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہوئے نہ سنا ہو، انہوں نے نہ جمعہ کا ذکر کیا، نہ کسی اور دن کا۔

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: I thought about giving orders to some youths for gathering a bundle of firewood, then going off to some people who their prayers in their homes without any excuse, and burning down their houses over them. I (Yazid bin Yazid) said: I asked Yazid bin al-Asamm: Abu Awf did he mean Friday (prayer) or any other? He replied: may my ears become deaf if I have not heard Abu Hurairah narrating it from the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم; He did not mention Friday (prayer) or any other.

تم لوگ ان پانچوں نمازوں کی پابندی کرو جہاں ان کی اذان دی جائے، کیونکہ یہ ہدایت کی راہیں ہیں، اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے ہدایت کے طریقے اور راستے مقرر کر دئیے ہیں، اور ہم تو یہ سمجھتے تھے کہ نماز باجماعت سے وہی غیر حاضر رہتا تھا جو کھلا ہوا منافق ہوتا تھا، اور ہم یہ بھی دیکھتے تھے کہ آدمی دو شخصوں کے کندھوں پر ہاتھ رکھ کر چلایا جاتا، یہاں تک کہ اس آدمی کو صف میں لا کر کھڑا کر دیا جاتا تھا، تم میں سے ایسا کوئی شخص نہیں ہے، جس کی مسجد اس کے گھر میں نہ ہو، لیکن اگر تم اپنے گھروں میں نماز پڑھتے رہے اور مسجدوں میں نماز پڑھنا چھوڑ دیا، تو تم نے اپنے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا طریقہ ترک کر دیا اور اگر تم نے اپنے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا طریقہ ترک کر دیا تو کافروں جیسا کام کیا۔

Abdullah bin Masud said: Persevere in observing these five times of prayer where the announcement for them is made, because they are from the paths of right guidance. And Allah, the Might, the Majestic, has laid down for his prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم the paths of right guidance. I have seen the time when no one stayed away from prayer except a hypocrite whose hypocrite was well known. I witnessed the time when a man would be brought swaying between two men till he was set up in the row (of the prayer). Every one of us has a mosque of his in his house. If you were to pray in your houses and stay from your mosques. You would abandon the Sunnah (practice) of your prophet, and if you were Abandon the Sunnah (Practice) of your Prophet, you would become an unbeliever.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص اذان کی آواز سنے اور اس پر عمل پیرا ہونے سے اسے کوئی عذر مانع نہ ہو ( لوگوں نے عرض کیا: عذر کیا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: خوف یا بیماری ) تو اس کی نماز جو اس نے پڑھی قبول نہ ہو گی ۔

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: If anyone hears him who makes the call to prayer and is not prevented from joining the congregation by any excuse--he was asked what an excuse consisted of and replied that it was fear or illness--the prayer he offers will not be accepted from him.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا: اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! میں نابینا آدمی ہوں، میرا گھر بھی ( مسجد سے ) دور ہے اور میری رہنمائی کرنے والا ایسا شخص ہے جو میرے لیے موزوں و مناسب نہیں، کیا میرے لیے اپنے گھر میں نماز پڑھ لینے کی اجازت ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کیا تم اذان سنتے ہو؟ ، انہوں نے کہا: ہاں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ( پھر تو ) میں تمہارے لیے رخصت نہیں پاتا ۔

Narrated Amr ibn Zadah, Ibn Umm Maktum: Ibn Umm Maktum asked the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم saying: Messenger of Allah, I am a blind man, my house is far away (from the mosque), and I have a guide who does not follow me. Is it possible that permission be granted to me for saying prayer in my house? He asked: Do you hear summons (adhan)? He said: Yes. He said: I do not find any permission for you.

اللہ کے رسول! مدینے میں کیڑے مکوڑے اور درندے بہت ہیں، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کیا تم «حى على الصلاة» اور «حى على الفلاح» ( یعنی اذان ) سنتے ہو؟ تو ( مسجد ) آیا کرو ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسی طرح اسے قاسم جرمی نے سفیان سے روایت کیا ہے، ان کی روایت میں «حى هلا» ( آیا کرو ) کا ذکر نہیں ہے۔

Narrated Ibn Umm Maktum: Messenger of Allah, there are many venomous creatures and wild beasts in Madina (so allow me to pray in my house because I am blind). The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Do you hear the call, Come to prayer, Come to salvation ? (He said: Yes. ) Then you must come. Abu Dawud said: Al-Qasim al-Jarmi has narrated this tradition from Sufyan in a similar manner. But his version does not contain the words Then you must come.
