سنن ابوداؤد

لوگ جمعہ کے لیے اپنے اپنے گھروں سے اور عوالی ۱؎ سے باربار آتے تھے۔

Aishah, the wife of Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, said: The people used to attend the Friday prayer from their houses and from the suburbs of Madina.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جمعہ ہر اس شخص پر ہے جس نے جمعہ کی اذان سنی ہے ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اس حدیث کو ایک جماعت نے سفیان سے روایت کرتے ہوئے عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما پر موقوف کیا ہے اور صرف قبیصہ نے اسے مسند ( یعنی مرفوع روایت ) کیا ہے۔

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The Friday prayer is obligatory on him who hears the call. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted by a group of narrators from Sufyan. They did not narrate it as a statement of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم; only Qabisah has transmitted it as saying of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم.
