سنن ابوداؤد

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں خطبوں میں اختصار کرنے کا حکم دیا ہے۔

Narrated Ammar ibn Yasir: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم commanded us to shorten the speeches.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جمعہ کے دن خطبے کو طول نہیں دیتے تھے، وہ بس چند ہی کلمات ہوتے تھے

Narrated Jabir ibn Samurah as-Suwa'i: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم would not lengthen the sermon on Friday. He would say a few words.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: خطبہ میں حاضر رہا کرو اور امام سے قریب رہو کیونکہ آدمی برابر دور ہوتا رہتا ہے یہاں تک کہ وہ جنت میں بھی پیچھے کر دیا جاتا ہے گرچہ وہ اس میں داخل ہوتا ہے ۔

Narrated Samurah ibn Jundub: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Attend the sermon (on Friday) and sit near the imam, for a man keeps himself away until he will be left behind at the time of entering Paradise though he enters it.
