سنن ابوداؤد

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سواری پر نفل پڑھتے تھے، خواہ آپ کسی بھی طرف متوجہ ہوتے اور اسی پر وتر پڑھتے، البتہ اس پر فرض نماز نہیں پڑھتے تھے ۱؎۔

Narrated Ibn Umar: While travelling the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم would pray voluntary prayer on his riding beast in whatever direction it turned; and he would observe witr prayer, but he did not offer the obligatory prayers upon it.
