سنن ابوداؤد

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس شخص کی نماز نہیں جس کا وضو نہیں، اور اس شخص کا وضو نہیں جس نے وضو کے شروع میں «بسم الله» نہیں کہا ۔

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The prayer of a person who does not perform ablution is not valid, and the ablution of a person who does not mention the name of Allah (in the beginning) is not valid.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی حدیث: «لا وضوء لمن لم يذكر اسم تفسیر یہ ہے کہ اس سے مراد وہ شخص ہے جو وضو اور غسل کرے لیکن نماز کے وضو اور جنابت کے غسل کی نیت نہ کرے۔الله عليه» کی

Explaining the tradition of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم that the ablution of a person who does not mention the name of Allah is valid, Rabiah said: This tradition means that if a person performs ablution and takes a bath but does not have the intention to perform ablution for prayer and purify himself from sexual defilement, his ablution or bath is not valid.
