سنن ابوداؤد

سورۃ ص کا سجدہ تاکیدی سجدوں میں سے نہیں لیکن میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اس میں سجدہ کرتے دیکھا ہے۔

Narrated Ibn Abbas: A prostration when reciting Sad is not one of those which are divinely commanded, but I have seen Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم prostrate himself.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سورۃ ص پڑھی، آپ منبر پر تھے جب سجدہ کے مقام پر پہنچے تو اترے، سجدہ کیا، لوگوں نے بھی آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ سجدہ کیا، پھر ایک دن کی بات ہے کہ آپ نے اس سورۃ کی تلاوت کی، جب سجدہ کے مقام پر پہنچے تو لوگ سجدے کے لیے تیار ہو گئے، اس پر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ سجدہ دراصل ایک نبی ۱؎ کی توبہ تھی، لیکن میں دیکھ رہا ہوں کہ تم لوگ سجدے کے لیے تیار ہو رہے ہو ، چنانچہ آپ اترے، سجدہ کیا، لوگوں نے بھی سجدہ کیا۔

Narrated Saeed al-Khudri: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم recited surah Sad on the pulpit. When he reached the place of prostration (in the surah), he descended and prostrated himself and the people prostrated with him. When the next day came, he recited it. When he reached the place of prostration (in the surah), the people became ready for prostration. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: This is the repentance of a Prophet ; but I saw you being ready for prostration. So he descended and prostrated himself and the people prostrated along with him.
