سنن ابوداؤد

طلق بن علی رضی اللہ عنہ رمضان میں ایک دن ہمارے پاس آئے، شام تک رہے روزہ افطار کیا، پھر اس رات انہوں نے ہمارے ساتھ قیام اللیل کیا، ہمیں وتر پڑھائی پھر اپنی مسجد میں گئے اور اپنے ساتھیوں کو نماز پڑھائی یہاں تک کہ جب صرف وتر باقی رہ گئی تو ایک شخص کو آگے بڑھایا اور کہا: اپنے ساتھیوں کو وتر پڑھاؤ، اس لیے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کہتے سنا ہے کہ ایک رات میں دو وتر نہیں ۔

Narrated Talq ibn Ali: Qays ibn Talq said: Talq ibn Ali visited us on a certain day during Ramadan. He remained with us till evening and broke fast with us. He then stood up and led us in the witr prayer. He then went to his mosque and led them in prayer. When the witr remained, he put forward another man and said: Lead your companions in the witr prayer, for I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: There are no two witrs during one night.
