سنن ابوداؤد

مر بن عبیداللہ بن معمر کی دونوں آنکھیں دکھنے لگیں تو انہوں نے ابان بن عثمان کے پاس ( پوچھنے کے لیے اپنا آدمی ) بھیجا کہ وہ اپنی آنکھوں کا کیا علاج کریں؟ ( سفیان کہتے ہیں: ابان ان دونوں حج کے امیر تھے ) تو انہوں نے کہا: ان دونوں پر ایلوا کا لیپ لگا لو، کیونکہ میں نے عثمان سے سنا ہے وہ اسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے نقل کر رہے تھے۔

Nubaih bin Wahb said Umar bin Ubaid Allah bin Mamar had a complaint in his eyes. He sent (someone) to Aban bin Uthman - the narrator Sufyan said that he was the chief of pilgrims during the season of Hajj – asking him what he should do with them. He said Apply aloes to them, for I heard ‘Uthaman narrating this on the authority of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم.

یہی حدیث مروی ہے۔

The aforesaid tradition has also been transmitted by Nubaih bin Wahb through a different chain of narrators.
