سنن ابوداؤد

عمر بن عبیداللہ نے انہیں ابان بن عثمان بن عفان کے پاس بھیجا، ابان اس وقت امیر الحج تھے، وہ دونوں محرم تھے، وہ ان سے پوچھ رہے تھے کہ میں نے ارادہ کیا ہے کہ میں طلحہ بن عمر کا شیبہ بن جبیر کی بیٹی سے نکاح کر دوں، میں چاہتا ہوں کہ تم بھی اس میں شریک رہو، ابان نے اس پر انکار کیا اور کہا کہ میں نے اپنے والد عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ کو کہتے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: محرم نہ خود نکاح کرے اور نہ کسی دوسرے کا نکاح کرائے ۔

Nubaih bin Wahb brother of Banu Abd Al Dar said Umar bin Ubaid Allah sent someone to Aban bin Uthman bin Affan asking him (to participate in the marriage ceremony). Aban in those days was the chief of the pilgrims and both were in the sacred state (wearing ihram). I want to give the daughter of Shaibah bin Jubair to Talhah bin Umar in marriage. I wish that you may attend it. Aban refused and said I heard my father Uthman bin Affan narrating a tradition from the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying A pilgrim may not marry and give someone in marriage in the sacred state (while wearing ihram).

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کہا پھر راوی نے اسی کے مثل ذکر کیا البتہ اس میں انہوں نے «ولا يخطب» ( نہ شادی کا پیغام دے ) کے لفظ کا اضافہ کیا ہے ۱؎۔

The aforesaid tradition has also been transmitted by Aban bin Uthman on the authority of Uthman from the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم in a similar manner. This version adds “And he should not make a betrothal”

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے نکاح کیا، اور ہم اس وقت مقام سرف میں حلال تھے ( یعنی احرام نہیں باندھے تھے )

Yazid bin Al Asamm, Maimunah’s nephew said on Maimunah’s authority The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم married me when we were not in the sacred state at Sarif.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے حالت احرام میں نکاح کیا۔

Ibn Abbas said The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم married Maimunah while he was in the sacred state (wearing ihram).

ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے ( نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ) حالت احرام میں نکاح کے سلسلے میں ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کو وہم ہوا ہے۔

Saeed bin Al Musayyib said There is a misunderstanding on the part of Ibn Abbas about the marriage (of the Prophet) with Maimunah while he was in the sacred state.
