سنن ابوداؤد

میں نے اسلام قبول کیا، میرے پاس آٹھ بیویاں تھیں تو میں نے اس کا ذکر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان میں سے چار کا انتخاب کر لو ( اور باقی کو طلاق دے دو ) ۔

Narrated Al-Harith ibn Qays al-Asadi: I embraced Islam while I had eight wives. So I mentioned it to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. The Prophet (said) said: Select four of them. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has also been narrated to us by Ahmad bin Ibrahim from Hushaim. He said: Qais bin al-Harith instead of al-Harith bin Qais. Ahmad bin Ibrahim said: This is correct, i. e. Qais bin al-Harith.

اسی مفہوم کی حدیث مروی ہے۔

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Qais bin Al Harith through a different chain of narrators to the same effect.

میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں نے اسلام قبول کر لیا ہے اور میرے نکاح میں دو بہنیں ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان دونوں میں سے جس کو چاہو طلاق دے دو ۔

Al-Dahhak bin Firuz reported on the authority of his father: I said: Messenger of Allah, I have embraced Islam and two sisters are my wives. He said: Divorce any one of them you wish.
