صحیح بخاری

( صلح حدیبیہ کے بعد ) جب ہم دوسرے سال پھر آئے، تو ہم میں سے ( جنہوں نے صلح حدیبیہ کے موقع پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کی تھی ) دو شخص بھی اس درخت کی نشان دہی پر متفق نہیں ہو سکے۔ جس کے نیچے ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کی تھی اور یہ صرف اللہ کی رحمت تھی۔ جویریہ نے کہا، میں نے نافع سے پوچھا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے صحابہ سے کس بات پر بیعت کی تھی، کیا موت پر لی تھی؟ فرمایا کہ نہیں، بلکہ صبر و استقامت پر بیعت لی تھی۔

Narrated Ibn `Umar: When we reached (Hudaibiya) in the next year (of the treaty of Hudaibiya), not even two men amongst us agreed unanimously as to which was the tree under which we had given the pledge of allegiance, and that was out of Allah's Mercy. (The sub narrator asked Naf'i, For what did the Prophet take their pledge of allegiance, was it for death? Naf'i replied No, but he took their pledge of allegiance for patience. )

حرہ کی لڑائی کے زمانہ میں ایک صاحب ان کے پاس آئے اور کہا کہ عبداللہ بن حنظلہ لوگوں سے ( یزید کے خلاف ) موت پر بیعت لے رہے ہیں۔ تو انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بعد اب میں موت پر کسی سے بیعت نہیں کروں گا۔

Narrated `Abdullah bin Zaid: that in the time (of the battle) of Al-Harra a person came to him and said, Ibn Hanzala is taking the pledge of allegiance from the people for death. He said, I will never give a pledge of allegiance for such a thing to anyone after Allah's Apostle.

( حدیبیہ کے موقع پر ) میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کی۔ پھر ایک درخت کے سائے میں آ کر کھڑا ہو گیا۔ جب لوگوں کا ہجوم کم ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دریافت کیا، ابن الاکوع کیا بیعت نہیں کرو گے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے عرض کیا، یا رسول اللہ! میں تو بیعت کر چکا ہوں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، دوبارہ اور بھی! چنانچہ میں نے دوبارہ بیعت کی ( یزید بن ابی عبیداللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ) میں نے سلمہ بن الاکوع رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا، ابومسلم اس دن آپ حضرات نے کس بات پر بیعت کی تھی؟ کہا کہ موت پر۔

Narrated Yazid bin Ubaid: Salama said, I gave the Pledge of allegiance (Al-Ridwan) to Allah's Apostle and then I moved to the shade of a tree. When the number of people around the Prophet diminished, he said, 'O Ibn Al-Akwa` ! Will you not give to me the pledge of Allegiance?' I replied, 'O Allah's Apostle! I have already given to you the pledge of Allegiance.' He said, 'Do it again.' So I gave the pledge of allegiance for the second time. I asked 'O Abu Muslim! For what did you give he pledge of Allegiance on that day? He replied, We gave the pledge of Allegiance for death.

انصار خندق کھودتے ہوئے ( غزوہ خندق کے موقع پر ) کہتے تھے «نحن الذين بايعوا محمدا على الجهاد ما حيينا أبدا» ”ہم وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے محمد ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) سے جہاد پر بیعت کی ہے ہمیشہ کے لیے، جب تک ہمارے جسم میں جان ہے۔“

Narrated Anas: On the day (of the battle) of the Trench, the Ansar were saying, We are those who have sworn allegiance to Muhammad for Jihaid (for ever) as long as we live. The Prophet replied to them, O Allah! There is no life except the life of the Hereafter. So honor the Ansar and emigrants with Your Generosity.

میں اپنے بھائی کے ساتھ ( فتح مکہ کے بعد ) نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا۔ اور عرض کیا کہ ہم سے ہجرت پر بیعت لے لیجئے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ہجرت تو ( مکہ کے فتح ہونے کے بعد، وہاں سے ) ہجرت کر کے آنے والوں پر ختم ہو گئی۔ میں نے عرض کیا، پھر آپ ہم سے کس بات پر بیعت لیں گے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اسلام اور جہاد پر۔

Narrated Mujashi: My brother and I came to the Prophet and I requested him to take the pledge of allegiance from us for migration. He said, Migration has passed away with its people. I asked, For what will you take the pledge of allegiance from us then? He said, I will take (the pledge) for Islam and Jihad.
