صحیح بخاری

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرمایا کرتے تھے ”اے مسلمان عورتو! تم میں سے کوئی عورت اپنی کسی پڑوسن کے لیے کسی بھی چیز کو ( ہدیہ میں ) دینے کے لیے حقیر نہ سمجھے خواہ بکری کا پایہ ہی کیوں نہ ہو۔“

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet used to say, O Muslim ladies! A neighbouress should not look down upon the present of her neighbouress even it were the hooves of a sheep.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جو کوئی اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو وہ اپنے پڑوسی کو تکلیف نہ پہنچائے اور جو کوئی اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو وہ اپنے مہمان کی عزت کرے اور جو کوئی اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو وہ اچھی بات زبان سے نکالے ورنہ خاموش رہے۔“

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, Anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor, and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should entertain his guest generously and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet. (i.e. abstain from all kinds of evil and dirty talk).

میرے کانوں نے سنا اور میری آنکھوں نے دیکھا جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم گفتگو فرما رہے تھے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جو شخص اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو وہ اپنے پڑوسی کا اکرام کرے اور جو شخص اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو وہ اپنے مہمان کی دستور کے موافق ہر طرح سے عزت کرے۔ پوچھا: یا رسول اللہ! دستور کے موافق کب تک ہے۔ فرمایا ایک دن اور ایک رات اور میزبانی تین دن کی ہے اور جو اس کے بعد ہو وہ اس کے لیے صدقہ ہے اور جو اللہ اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو وہ بہتر بات کہے یا خاموش رہے۔

Narrated Abu Shuraih Al-Adawi: My ears heard and my eyes saw the Prophet when he spoke, Anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day, should serve his neighbor generously, and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should serve his guest generously by giving him his reward. It was asked. What is his reward, O Allah's Apostle? He said, (To be entertained generously) for a day and a night with high quality of food and the guest has the right to be entertained for three days (with ordinary food) and if he stays longer, what he will be provided with will be regarded as Sadaqa (a charitable gift). And anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quite (i.e. abstain from all kinds of dirty and evil talks).

میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میری پڑوسنیں ہیں ( اگر ہدیہ ایک ہو تو ) میں ان میں سے کس کے پاس ہدیہ بھیجوں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جس کا دروازہ تم سے ( تمہارے دروازے سے ) زیادہ قریب ہو۔“

Narrated `Aisha: I said, O Allah's Apostle! I have two neighbors! To whom shall I send my gifts? He said, To the one whose gate in nearer to you.
