صحیح بخاری

اللہ تعالیٰ کے ارشاد «ولا تجهر بصلاتك ولا تخافت بها‏» کے بارے میں کہ یہ آیت جب نازل ہوئی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مکہ میں چھپ کر ( اعمال اسلام ادا کرتے تھے ) لیکن جب اپنے صحابہ کو نماز پڑھاتے تو قرآن مجید بلند آواز سے پڑھتے، جب مشرکین سنتے تو قرآن مجید کو، اس کے اتارنے والے کو اور اسے لے کر آنے والے کو گالی دیتے۔ چنانچہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہا کہ اپنی قرآت میں آواز بلند نہ کریں کہ مشرکین سنین اور پھر قرآن کو گالی دیں اور نہ اتنا آہستہ ہی پڑھیں کہ آپ کے صحابہ بھی نہ سن سکیں بلکہ ان کے درمیان کا راستہ اختیار کریں۔

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: regarding the explanation of the Verse:-- '(O Muhammad!) Neither say your prayer aloud, nor say it in a low tone.' (17.110) This Verse was revealed while Allah's Apostle was hiding himself at Mecca. At that time, when he led his companions in prayer, he used to raise his voice while reciting the Qur'an; and if the pagans heard him, they would abuse the Qur'an, its Revealer, and the one who brought it. So Allah said to His Prophet: Neither say your prayer aloud. i.e., your recitation (of Qur'an) lest the pagans should hear (it) and abuse the Qur'an nor say it in a low tone, lest your voice should fail to reach your companions, but follow a way between. (17.110)

آیت «ولا تجهر بصلاتك ولا تخافت بها‏» دعا کے بارے میں نازل ہوئی، یعنی دعا نہ بہت چلا کر مانگ نہ آہستہ بلکہ درمیانہ راستہ اختیار کر۔

Narrated `Aisha: The Verse:-- '(O Muhammad!) Neither say your prayer aloud nor say it in a low tone.' (17.110) was revealed in connection with the invocations.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جو خوش آوازی سے قرآن نہیں پڑھتا وہ ہم مسلمانوں کے طریق پر نہیں ہے۔“ اور ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے سوا دوسرے لوگوں نے اس حدیث میں اتنا زیادہ کیا ہے یعنی اس کو پکار کر نہ پڑھے۔

Narrated Abu Salama: Abu Huraira said, Allah's Apostle said, 'Whoever does not recite Qur'an in a nice voice is not from us,' and others said extra, (that means) to recite it aloud.
