کیا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ظہر اور عصر کی نمازوں میں قرآت کیا کرتے تھے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا کہ ہاں! میں نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی قرآت کرنے کو آپ لوگ کس طرح معلوم کر لیتے تھے؟ فرمایا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی داڑھی مبارک کے ہلنے سے۔

Narrated Abu Ma`mar: I asked Khabbab bin Al-Art whether the Prophet used to recite the Qur'an in the Zuhr and the `Asr prayers. He replied in the affirmative. I said, How did you come to know that? He replied, From the movement of his beard.

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ظہر اور عصر کی دو رکعات میں سورۃ فاتحہ اور ایک ایک سورۃ پڑھتے تھے۔ اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کبھی کبھی کوئی آیت ہمیں سنا بھی دیا کرتے۔

Narrated `Abdullah bin Abi Qatada: My father said, The Prophet used to recite Al-Fatiha along with another Sura in the first two rak`at of the Zuhr and the `Asr prayers and at times a t verse or so was audible to us.
