صحیح بخاری

میں نے اور عمران بن حصین نے علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی۔ تو وہ جب بھی سجدہ کرتے تو تکبیر کہتے۔ اسی طرح جب سر اٹھاتے تو تکبیر کہتے۔ جب دو رکعات کے بعد اٹھتے تو تکبیر کہتے۔ جب نماز ختم ہوئی تو عمران بن حصین نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر کہا کہ علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے آج محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز یاد دلائی، یا یہ کہا کہ اس شخص نے ہم کو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز کی طرح آج نماز پڑھائی۔

Narrated Mutarrif bin `Abdullah: `Imran bin Husain and I offered the prayer behind `Ali bin Abi Talib. When `Ali prostrated, he said the Takbir, when he raised his head, he said the Takbir and when he got up for the third rak`a he said the Takbir. On completion of the prayer `Imran took my hand and said, This (i.e. `Ali) made me remember the prayer of Muhammad Or he said, He led us in a prayer like that of Muhammad.

میں نے ایک شخص کو مقام ابراہیم میں ( نماز پڑھتے ہوئے ) دیکھا کہ ہر جھکنے اور اٹھنے پر وہ تکبیر کہتا تھا۔ اسی طرح کھڑے ہوتے وقت اور بیٹھتے وقت بھی۔ میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کو اس کی اطلاع دی۔ آپ نے فرمایا، ارے تیری ماں مرے! کیا یہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی سی نماز نہیں ہے۔

Narrated `Ikrima: I saw a person praying at Muqam-Ibrahim (the place of Abraham by the Ka`ba) and he was saying Takbir on every bowing, rising, standing and sitting. I asked Ibn `Abbas (about this prayer). He admonished me saying: Isn't that the prayer of the Prophet?
