صحیح بخاری

جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سلام کرتے تو تین بار سلام کرتے اور جب کوئی کلمہ ارشاد فرماتے تو اسے تین بار دہراتے یہاں تک کہ خوب سمجھ لیا جاتا۔

Narrated Anas: Whenever the Prophet asked permission to enter, he knocked the door thrice with greeting and whenever he spoke a sentence (said a thing) he used to repeat it thrice. (See Hadith No. 261, Vol. 8).

جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کوئی کلمہ ارشاد فرماتے تو اسے تین بار لوٹاتے یہاں تک کہ خوب سمجھ لیا جاتا۔ اور جب کچھ لوگوں کے پاس آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تشریف لاتے اور انہیں سلام کرتے تو تین بار سلام کرتے۔

Narrated Anas: Whenever the Prophet spoke a sentence (said a thing), he used to repeat it thrice so that the people could understand it properly from him and whenever he asked permission to enter, (he knocked the door) thrice with greeting.

ایک سفر میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہم سے پیچھے رہ گئے۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے قریب پہنچے۔ تو عصر کی نماز کا وقت ہو چکا تھا یا تنگ ہو گیا تھا اور ہم وضو کر رہے تھے۔ ہم اپنے پیروں پر پانی کا ہاتھ پھیرنے لگے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بلند آواز سے فرمایا کہ آگ کے عذاب سے ان ایڑیوں کی ( جو خشک رہ جائیں ) خرابی ہے۔ یہ دو مرتبہ فرمایا یا تین مرتبہ۔

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr: Once Allah's Apostle remained behind us in a journey. He joined us while we were performing ablution for the `Asr prayer which was over-due. We were just passing wet hands over our feet (not washing them properly) so the Prophet addressed us in a loud voice and said twice or thrice, Save your heels from the fire.
