سنن ابن ماجہ

انہوں نے ریشم کی گھنڈیاں لگا ہوا جبہ نکالا اور کہنے لگیں: دشمن سے مقابلہ کے وقت نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اسے پہنتے تھے ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Abu ‘Umar, the freed slave of Asma’, from Asma’ bint Abi Bakr, that she brought out a cloak edged with brocade and said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) used to wear this when he met the enemy.”

وہ حریر اور دیباج ( ریشمی کپڑوں کے استعمال ) سے منع کرتے تھے مگر جو اتنا ہو، پھر انہوں نے اپنی انگلی سے اشارہ کیا، پھر دوسری سے پھر تیسری سے پھر چوتھی سے، اور فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس سے ہمیں منع فرمایا کرتے تھے

It was narrated from ‘Umar that he used to forbid silk and brocade except that which was like that, then he gestured with his finger, then his second finger, then his third, then his fourth,* and said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to forbid that to us.”
