سنن ابن ماجہ

جب عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ جمرہ عقبہ کے پاس آئے تو وادی کے نچلے حصے میں گئے، کعبہ کی طرف رخ کیا، اور جمرہ عقبہ کو اپنے دائیں ابرو پر کیا، پھر سات کنکریاں ماریں، ہر کنکری پر اللہ اکبر کہتے جاتے تھے پھر کہا: قسم اس ذات کی جس کے علاوہ کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، یہیں سے اس ذات نے کنکری ماری ہے جس پر سورۃ البقرہ نازل کی گئی۔

It was narrated that ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid said: “When ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud stoned ‘Aqabah Pillar, he went to the bottom of the valley and turned to face the Ka’bah, with the Pillar on his right hand side. Then he threw seven pebbles, saying the Takbir with each one. Then he said: ‘From here, by the One besides Whom there is none worthy of worship, did the one throw, to whom Surat Al-Baqarah was revealed.’”

میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یوم النحر کو جمرہ عقبہ کے پاس دیکھا، آپ وادی کے نشیب میں تشریف لے گئے، اور جمرہ عقبہ کو سات کنکریاں ماریں، ہر کنکری کے ساتھ اللہ اکبر کہتے پھر لوٹ آئے۔ اس سند سے بھی ( سلیمان بن عمرو بن احوص کی والدہ ام جندب رضی اللہ عنہا ) سے اسی جیسی حدیث آئی ہے۔

It was narrated from Sulaiman bin ‘Amr bin Ahwas that his mother said: “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) on the Day of Sacrifice, at ‘Aqabah Pillar. He went to the interior of the valley and threw seven pebbles, saying Takbir with each pebble, then he departed.”
