سنن ابن ماجہ

جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مدینہ تشریف لائے تو لوگ آپ کی طرف تیزی سے بڑھے، اور کہا گیا کہ اللہ کے رسول آ گئے، اللہ کے رسول آ گئے، اللہ کے رسول آ گئے، یہ تین بار کہا، چنانچہ میں بھی لوگوں کے ساتھ پہنچا تاکہ ( آپ کو ) دیکھوں، جب میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا چہرہ اچھی طرح دیکھا تو پہچان گیا کہ یہ چہرہ کسی جھوٹے کا نہیں ہو سکتا، اس وقت سب سے پہلی بات جو میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنی وہ یہ کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: لوگو! سلام کو عام کرو، کھانا کھلاؤ، رشتوں کو جوڑو، اور رات میں جب لوگ سو رہے ہوں تو نماز ادا کرو، ( ایسا کرنے سے ) تم جنت میں سلامتی کے ساتھ داخل ہو گے ۱؎۔

‘Abdullah bin Salam said: “When the Prophet (ﷺ) came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed to meet him, and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has come!’ Three times. I came with the people to see him, and when I saw his face clearly, I knew that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing I heard him say was when he said: ‘O people! Spread (the greeting of) Salam, feed others, uphold the ties of kinship, and pray during the night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise with Salam.”*

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سلام کو پھیلاؤ، کھانا کھلاؤ، اور بھائی بھائی ہو جاؤ جیسا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمہیں حکم دیا ہے ۔

‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar used to say that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Spread (the greeting og) Salam, offer food (to the needy), and be brothers as Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has honored you.”

ایک شخص نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! کون سا اسلام بہتر ہے ۱؎؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کھانا کھلانا، ہر شخص کو سلام کرنا، چاہے اس کو پہچانتے ہو یا نہ پہچانتے ہو ۔

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): “O Messenger of Allah, which (aspect) of Islam is the best?” He said: “Offering food (to the needy) and greeting with Salam those whom you know and those whom you do not know.”
