جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مریض کے پاس آتے تو آپ اس کے لیے دعا فرماتے، اور کہتے: «أذهب الباس رب الناس واشف أنت الشافي لا شفاء إلا شفاؤك شفاء لا يغادر سقما» اے لوگوں کے رب! تو بیماری دور فرما، اور صحت عطا کر، تو ہی صحت عطا کرنے والا ہے، شفاء اور صحت وہی ہے جو تو عطا کرے، تو ایسی شفاء عطا کر کہ پھر کوئی بیماری باقی نہ رہ جائے ۔

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to a sick person, he would make supplication for him, and would say: Adhhibil-bas, Rabban-nas, washfi Antash-Shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uka shifa’an la yughadiru saqama (Take away the pain, O Lord of mankind, and grant healing, for You are the Healer, and there is no healing but Your healing that leaves no trace of sickness).’”

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی انگلی میں تھوک لگا کر بیمار کے لیے یوں کہتے: «بسم الله بتربة أرضنا بريقة بعضنا ليشفى سقيمنا بإذن ربنا» اللہ کے نام سے، ہماری زمین کی مٹی سے، ہم میں سے بعض کے لعاب سے ملی ہوئی ہے تاکہ ہمارا مریض ہمارے رب کے حکم سے شفاء پا جائے ۱؎۔

It was narrated from ‘Aishah that one of the things that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say for the sick person, with saliva on his finger (dipped in dust), was: “Bismillah, turbatu ardina, biriqati ba’dina, liyushfa saqimuna. Bi’dhni Rabbina (In the Name of Allah, the dust of our land mixed with the saliva of one of us, to cure our sick one by the permission of our Lord).”

میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا، مجھے ایسا درد تھا کہ لگ رہا تھا وہ مجھے ہلاک کر دے گا، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: اپنا دایاں ہاتھ اس پر رکھ کر «أعوذ بعزة الله وقدرته من شر ما أجد وأحاذر» اللہ کے نام سے میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی عزت اور اس کی قدرت کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں اس تکلیف کے شر سے جو میں محسوس کرتا ہوں اور جس سے ڈرتا ہوں سات مرتبہ پڑھو ، میں نے یہ دعا پڑھی تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے شفاء عطا کی

It was narrated that ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As Thaqafi said: “I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and I was suffering pain that was killing me. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: ‘Put your right hand on it and say: Bismillah, a’udhu bi’izzatil-lahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru. (In the Name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and what I fear),” seven times.’ I said that, and Allah healed me.”

جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر کہا: اے محمد! کیا آپ بیمار ہو گئے ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عرض کیا: ہاں ، جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے کہا: «بسم الله أرقيك من كل شيء يؤذيك من شر كل نفس أو عين أو حاسد الله يشفيك بسم الله أرقيك» اللہ کے نام سے میں آپ پر دم کرتا ہوں، ہر اس چیز سے جو آپ کو اذیت پہنچائے، ہر جاندار، نظر بند، اور حاسد کے شر سے، اللہ تعالیٰ آپ کو شفاء دے، میں اللہ کے نام سے آپ پر دم کرتا ہوں۔

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that Jibra’il came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: “O Muhammad, you are ill. He said: ‘Yes.’ He said: Bismillahi arqika, min kulli shay’in yu’dhika, min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin aw hasidin. Allahu yashfika, bismillahi arqika (In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from everything that is harming you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye, may Allah heal you. In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you).

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میری عیادت کے لیے تشریف لائے، تو آپ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: کیا میں تم پر وہ دم نہ کروں جو میرے پاس جبرائیل لے کر آئے؟ ، میں نے عرض کیا: ضرور یا رسول اللہ! میرے ماں باپ آپ پر فدا ہوں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تین بار یہ پڑھا: «بسم الله أرقيك والله يشفيك من كل داء فيك من شر النفاثات في العقد ومن شر حاسد إذا حسد» اللہ کے نام سے میں تم پر دم کرتا ہوں، اللہ ہی تمہیں شفاء دے گا، تمہارے ہر مرض سے، گرہوں پر پھونکنے والیوں کے شر سے، اور حاسد کے حسد سے جب وہ حسد کرے ۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) came to visit me (when I was sick), and said to me: ‘Shall I not recite for you a Ruqyah that Jibra’il brought to me?’ I said: ‘May my father and mother be ransomed for you! Yes, O Messenger of Allah!’ He said: Bismillah arqika, wallahu yashfika, min kulli da’in fika, min sharrin- naffathati fil-‘uqad, wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad (In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from every disease that is in you, and from the evil of those who (practice witchcraft when they) blow in the knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies), three times.”

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم حسن اور حسین ( رضی اللہ عنہما ) پر دم فرماتے تو کہتے: «أعوذ بكلمات الله التامة من كل شيطان وهامة ومن كل عين لامة» میں اللہ کے مکمل کلمات کے ذریعہ پناہ مانگتا ہوں ہر شیطان سے، ہر زہریلے کیڑے ( سانپ، بچھو وغیرہ ) اور ہر نظر بد والی آ نکھ سے ، اور فرماتے: ہمارے والد ابراہیم علیہ السلام بھی اسی کے ذریعہ اسماعیل و اسحاق علیہما السلام پر دم فرماتے تھے یا کہا: اسماعیل اور یعقوب علیہما السلام پر ۔ یہ حدیث وکیع کی ہے۔

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek refuge for Hasan and Husain and say: A’udhu bi kalimatil-lahil- tammati, min kulli shaitanin wa hammah, wa min kulli ‘aynin lammah (I seek refuge for you both in the Perfect Words of Allah, from every devil and every poisonous reptile, and from every evil eye).’ And he would say: ‘Thus Ibrahim used to seek refuge with Allah for Isma’il and Ishaq,’ or he said: ‘for Isma’il and Ya’qub.’”
