سنن ابن ماجہ

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم سونے لگو تو اپنے گھروں میں ( جلتی ہوئی ) آگ مت چھوڑو ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Salim, from his father, that the Prophet(ﷺ) said: Do not leave fire in your houses when you go to sleep.

مدینہ کا ایک گھر لوگوں سمیت جل گیا جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہ واقعہ بیان کیا گیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: بیشک آگ تمہاری دشمن ہے، لہٰذا جب تم سونے لگو، تو آگ بجھا دیا کرو ۔

It was narrated that Abu Musa said: A house burned down in Al-Madinah, with its occupants inside. The Prophet(ﷺ) was told of what had happened, and he said: 'This fire is an enemy to you. When you go to sleep, extinguish it.'

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں بہت سی باتوں کا حکم دیا، اور بہت سی باتوں سے منع فرمایا: ( ان میں سے ایک بات یہ بھی ہے کہ ) آپ نے ہمیں حکم دیا کہ ہم ( سوتے وقت ) چراغ بجھا دیا کریں۔

It was narrated that Jabir said: The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) commanded us (to do some things) and forbade us (to do some things), and he commanded us to extinguish our lamps.
