رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک مد پانی سے وضو فرماتے تھے، اور ایک صاع پانی سے غسل ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Safinah said: The Messenger of Allah used to perform ablution with a Mudd (of water) and bath with a Sa'.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah used to perform ablution with a Mudd (of water) and bath with a Sa'.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک مد پانی سے وضو، اور ایک صاع پانی سے غسل کیا کرتے۔

It was narrated from Jabir that: The Messenger of Allah used to perform ablution with a Mudd (of water) and bath with a Sa'.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: وضو میں ایک مد اور غسل میں ایک صاع پانی کافی ہے ، اس پر ایک شخص نے کہا: ہمیں اتنا پانی کافی نہیں ہوتا، تو انہوں نے کہا: تم سے بہتر ذات کو، اور تم سے زیادہ بالوں والے ( یعنی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کو کافی ہو جاتا تھا ۱؎۔

Abdullah bin Muhammed bin 'Aqil bin Abu Talib narrated from his father that his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'A Mudd is sufficient for the ablution and a Sa' is sufficient for the bath.' A man said: 'It is not sufficient for us.' He (the narrator) said: It was sufficient for one who is better than you and had more hair meaning the Prophet.
