سنن ابن ماجہ

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سنیچر کے دن روزہ نہ رکھو، سوائے فرض روزہ کے، اگر تم میں سے کسی کو انگور کی شاخ یا کسی درخت کی چھال کے علاوہ کوئی اور چیز کھانے کو نہ ملے تو اسی کو چوس لے ( لیکن روزہ نہ رکھے ) ۱؎۔

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Busr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Do not fast on Saturdays apart from days when you are obliged to fast. If anyone of you cannot find anything other than grape stalks or the bark of a tree, let him suck on it.”

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان دنوں یعنی ذی الحجہ کے دس دنوں سے بڑھ کر کوئی بھی دن ایسا نہیں کہ جس میں نیک عمل کرنا اللہ تعالیٰ کے نزدیک ان دنوں کے نیک عمل سے زیادہ پسندیدہ ہو ، لوگوں نے پوچھا: اللہ کے رسول! اللہ کے راستے میں جہاد کرنا بھی نہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ کے راستے میں جہاد کرنا بھی اتنا پسند نہیں، مگر جو شخص اپنی جان اور مال لے کر نکلے، اور پھر لوٹ کر نہ آئے ۔

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. They said: “O Messenger of Allah! Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?” He said: “Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, unless a man goes out with himself and his wealth and does not bring anything back.”
