سنن ابن ماجہ

سب سے برا کھانا اس ولیمہ کا کھانا ہے جس میں مالداروں کو بلایا جائے اور غریبوں کو چھوڑ دیا جائے، اور جس نے دعوت قبول نہ کی اس نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی نافرمانی کی ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The worst of food is food of a wedding feast to which the rich are invited and the poor are not. Whoever does not accept an invitation has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.' ”

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم میں سے کسی کو ولیمے کی دعوت دی جائے تو اسے قبول کرے ۱؎۔

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar: that the Messenger of Allah said: “If anyone of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him accept.”

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ولیمہ پہلے دن حق ہے، دوسرے دن عرف اور دستور کے موافق، اور تیسرے دن ریاکاری اور شہرت ہے ۔

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah said: 'The wedding feast on the first day is an obligation, on the second day is a custom and on the third day is showing off.”
