سنن ابن ماجہ

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس شخص نے رشتہ توڑنے کی قسم کھائی، یا کسی ایسی چیز کی قسم کھائی جو درست نہیں، تو اس قسم کا پورا کرنا یہ ہے کہ اسے چھوڑ دے ۔

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whoever takes an oath to cut off the ties of kinship, or to do something that is not right, the fulfillment of his vow is not to do that.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس شخص نے قسم کھائی، پھر اس کے خلاف کرنا اس سے بہتر سمجھا، تو قسم توڑ دینا ہی اس کا کفارہ ہے ۔

It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, that his grandfather said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever swears an oath then sees that something else is better than it, let him not do it, and his leaving it is the expiation for it.
