میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وضو فرما رہے تھے، میں نے آپ کو سلام کیا، آپ نے سلام کا جواب نہیں دیا، پھر جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وضو سے فارغ ہوئے تو فرمایا: تمہارے سلام کا جواب دینے میں رکاوٹ والی چیز یہ تھی کہ میں باوضو نہ تھا

It was narrated that Muhajir bin Qunfudh bin (Umair) bin Jud'an said: I came to the Prophet when he was performing ablution and greeted him with the Salam, but he did not return (the greeting). When he had finished his ablution he said: 'Nothing prevented me from returning your greeting but the fact that I need to have ablution.' (Da'if) Another chain with similar wording.

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پیشاب کر رہے تھے کہ ایک آدمی آپ کے پاس سے گزرا، اس شخص نے آپ کو سلام کیا، آپ نے سلام کا جواب نہ دیا، جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پیشاب سے فارغ ہو گئے تو اپنی دونوں ہتھیلیاں زمین پہ ماریں، اور تیمم کیا، پھر اس کے سلام کا جواب دیا۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: A man passed by the Prophet while he was urinating, and greeted him with the Salam, but he did not return the greeting. While he finished, he struck the ground with his palms and did dry ablution (Tayammum), then he returned the greeting.

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هَاشِمِ بْنِ الْبَرِيدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا مَرَّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَبُولُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا رَأَيْتَنِي عَلَى مِثْلِ هَذِهِ الْحَالَةِ فَلَا تُسَلِّمْ عَلَيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ لَمْ أَرُدَّ عَلَيْكَ .

It was narrated from Jabir bin `Abdullah that: A man passed by the Prophet while he was urinating, and greeted him by the Salam. The Messenger of Allah said to him: If you see me in this situation, do not greet me with the Salam, for if you do that I will not respond to you.'

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پیشاب کر رہے تھے کہ ایک آدمی آپ کے پاس سے گزرا، اس نے آپ کو سلام کیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کے سلام کا جواب نہیں دیا ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: A man passed by the Prophet while he was urinating and greeted him with the Salam, and he did not return the greeting.

میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کبھی بھی نہ دیکھا کہ آپ پاخانہ سے نکلے ہوں اور پانی نہ لیا ہو ۱؎۔

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: I never saw the Messenger of Allah come out of the toilet without first (cleansing himself) with water.

جب یہ آیت کریمہ: «فيه رجال يحبون أن يتطهروا والله يحب المطهرين» اس میں کچھ لوگ ہیں جو پاکی کو پسند کرتے ہیں، اور اللہ پاکی اختیار کرنے والوں کو پسند کرتا ہے ( سورة التوبة: 108 ) ، اتری تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اے انصار کی جماعت! اللہ تعالیٰ نے طہارت کے بارے میں تمہاری تعریف کی ہے، تو وہ تمہاری کیسی طہارت ہے ، ان لوگوں نے کہا: ہماری طہارت یہ ہے کہ ہم لوگ نماز کے لیے وضو کرتے ہیں، اور جنابت ہونے سے غسل کرتے ہیں، اور پانی سے استنجاء کرتے ہیں ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ( اللہ تعالیٰ کی پسندیدگی کا ) یہی سبب ہے، لہٰذا تم لوگ اس طہارت پر کاربند رہو ۱؎۔

Abu Sufyan said: Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, Jabir bin 'Abdullah, and Anas bin Malik told me that when this Verse: In it (the mosque) are men who love to clean and to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure. was revealed, the Messenger of Allah said: 'O Ansar! Allah has praised you for your cleanliness. What is the nature of your cleanliness?' They said: 'We perform ablution for prayer and we take bath to cleanse ourselves of impurity due to sexual activity, and we clean ourselves with water (after urinating). He said: 'This is what it is. So adhere to it.'

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے سرین کو تین بار دھوتے تھے۔ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے بھی ایسے ہی کیا، تو اسے دوا اور پاکی دونوں پایا۔

It was narrated from 'Aishah that: The Prophet used to wash his private parts three times. Ibn 'Umar said: We did that and we found it to be healing and a means of purification.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ آیت کریمہ اہل قباء کے بارے میں نازل ہوئی: «فيه رجال يحبون أن يتطهروا والله يحب المطهرين» اس میں کچھ لوگ ہیں جو پاکی کو پسند کرتے ہیں، اور اللہ پاکی اختیار کرنے والوں کو پسند کرتا ہے ( سورة التوبة: 108 ) ، ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: وہ پانی سے استنجاء کرتے تھے تو ان کے متعلق یہ آیت نازل ہوئی۔

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'The (following) was revealed about the people of Quba': 'In it (the mosque) are men who love to clean and purify themselves. And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure.' He said: 'They used to clean themselves with water (after urinating), and this Verse was revealed concerning them.'
