سنن ابن ماجہ

معاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم، ابوبکرو عمر اور عثمان رضی اللہ عنہم کے عہد میں زمین کو تہائی اور چوتھائی کرائے پر دیا، اور آج تک اسی پر عمل کیا جا رہا ہے ۔

It was narrated from Tawus that : Mu`adh bin Jabl leased some land during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthmah, in return for one third or one fourth (of the yield), and he was still doing that until this day of yours.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تو صرف یہ فرمایا تھا: کوئی اپنے بھائی کو اپنی زمین یوں ہی مفت کھیتی کے لیے دیدے، تو یہ اس سے بہتر ہے کہ وہ اس سے کوئی معین محصول لے ۔

It was narrated from Tawus that Ibn`Abbas told that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) merely said: “For one of you to give (land) to his brother is better for him than if he were to take a set amount in rent for it.”
