سنن نسائ

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اسے ( رمضان کا چاند ) دیکھ کر روزہ رکھو، اور اسے ( عید الفطر کا چاند ) دیکھ کر روزہ بند کرو، ( اور ) اگر تم پر بادل چھائے ہوں تو تیس کی گنتی پوری کرو“۔

It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah said; 'Fast when you see it and stop fasting when you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then complete thirty (days). '

مجھے حیرت ہوتی ہے اس شخص پر جو مہینہ شروع ہونے سے پہلے ( ہی ) روزہ رکھنے لگتا ہے، حالانکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب تم ( رمضان کا ) چاند دیکھ لو تو روزہ رکھو، ( اسی طرح ) جب ( عید الفطر کا چاند ) دیکھ لو تو روزہ رکھنا بند کرو، ( اور ) جب تم پر بادل چھائے ہوں تو تیس کی گنتی پوری کرو“۔

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: I am surprised at those who anticipate the moth, when the Messenger of Allah said: 'When you see the new crescent then fast, and when you see it, then stop fasting, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then complete thirty days.
