سنن نسائ

میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! کیا بات ہے آپ کی مہربانیاں و دلچسپیاں قریش میں بڑھ رہی ہیں اور ( ہم جو آپ کے خاص الخاص ہیں ) آپ ہمیں چھوڑ رہے ( اور نظر انداز فرما رہے ) ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا تمہارے پاس کوئی ( شادی کے لائق ) ہے؟“ میں نے کہا: ہاں! حمزہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیٹی ہے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”وہ تو میرے لیے حلال نہیں ہے، کیونکہ وہ میرے رضاعی بھائی کی بیٹی ہے“۔

It was narrated that 'Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, why do you choose wives from among Quraish and not from among us?' He said: 'Do you have anyone in mind?' I said: 'Yes, the daughter of Hamzah.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'She is not permissible for me (to marry); she is the daughter of my brother through breast-feeding.'

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے حمزہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیٹی ( سے شادی ) کا ذکر کیا گیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”وہ تو میرے رضاعی بھائی کی بیٹی ہے“ ۱؎۔ شعبہ کہتے ہیں: اس روایت کو قتادہ نے جابر بن زید سے سنا ہے۔

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: Mention was made to the Messenger of Allah of the daughter of Hamzah (as a potential wife). He said: 'She is the daughter of my brother through breast-feeding.' (One of the narrators) Shu'bah said: Qatadah heard this from Jabir bin Zaid.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو حمزہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیٹی سے شادی کر لینے کی ترغیب دی گئی، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”وہ میرے رضاعی بھائی کی بیٹی ہے اور رضاعت ( دودھ پینے ) سے ہر وہ رشتہ، ناطہٰ حرام ہو جاتا ہے جو رشتہ، ناطہٰ نسب سے حرام ہوتا ہے“۔

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the daughter of Hamzah was suggested to Messenger of Allah (as a potential wife). He said: She is the daughter of my brother through breast-feeding, and what becomes unlawful (for marriage) through breast-feeding is the same as that which becomes unlawful through lineage.
