سنن نسائ

سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ایک نذر کے متعلق مسئلہ پوچھا جو ان کی ماں کے ذمہ تھی اور جسے پوری کرنے سے پہلے ہی وہ مر گئیں۔ تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”اسے تم ان کی طرف سے پوری کر دو“۔

It was narrated that Al-Harith bin Miskin said, it being read to him while I was listening: From Sufyan, from Az-Zuhri, from 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah, from Ibn 'Abbas, that Sa'd bin 'Ubadah consulted the Prophet about a vow which his mother had to fulfill, but she died before doing so. The Messenger of Allah said: 'Fulfill it on her behalf.'

میری ماں مر گئیں اور ان کے ذمہ ایک نذر تھی تو میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس کے متعلق پوچھا تو آپ نے مجھے حکم دیا کہ میں اسے ان کی طرف سے پوری کر دوں۔

Muhammad bin 'Abdullah bin Yazid said: Sufyan narrated to us from Az-Zuhri, from 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah, from Ibn 'Abbas, that Sa'd said: 'My mother died and there was an (outstanding) vow that she had to fulfill. I asked the Prophet and he told me to fulfill it on her behalf.'

سعد بن عبادہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ایک نذر سے متعلق جو ان کی ماں کے ذمہ تھی مسئلہ پوچھا اور اسے پوری کرنے سے پہلے وہ انتقال کر گئیں تھیں، تو آپ نے ان سے فرمایا: ”اسے ان کی طرف سے تم پوری کر دو“۔

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: Sa'd bin 'Ubadah Al-Ansari consulted the Messenger of Allah about an (outstanding) vow that his mother had to fulfill, but she died before doing so. The Messenger of Allah said: 'Fulfill it on her behalf.'

سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر عرض کیا: میری ماں انتقال کر گئی ہیں اور ان کے ذمہ ایک نذر ہے اور وہ اسے پوری نہیں کر سکی ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم اسے ان کی طرف سے پوری کر دو“۔

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: Sa'd bin 'Ubadah came to the Prophet and said: My mother has died and she had a vow to fulfill but she did not do so. He said: Fulfill it on her behalf.

میں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میری ماں مر گئیں ہیں، کیا میں ان کی طرف سے صدقہ کر سکتا ہوں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ہاں“، میں نے پوچھا: کون سا صدقہ افضل ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ” ( پیاسوں کو ) پانی پلانا“ ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Sa'd bin 'Ubadah said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died; shall I give in charity on her behalf?' He said: 'Yes.' I said: 'What kind of charity is best?' He said: 'Providing drinking water.'

میں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! کون سا صدقہ سب سے بہتر ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”پانی پلانا“ ۱؎۔

It was narrated that Sa'd bin 'Ubadah said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what kind of charity is best?' He said: 'Providing drinking water.'

ان کی ماں مر گئیں تو انہوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میری ماں انتقال کر گئیں ہیں، کیا میں ان کی طرف سے صدقہ کر سکتا ہوں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ہاں“، انہوں نے کہا: کون سا صدقہ سب سے بہتر ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”پانی پلانا“ تو یہ ہے مدینہ میں سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کی پانی کی سبیل۔

It was narrated from Sa'd bin 'Ubadah that his mother died. He said: O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died; can I give charity on her behalf? He said: Yes. He said: What kind of charity is best? He said: Providing drinking water. And that is the drinking-fountain of Sa'd in Al-Madinah.
