سنن نسائ

وہ جس وقت ظہر پڑھ کر پلٹے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس بصرہ میں ان کے گھر گئے، اور ان کا گھر مسجد کے بغل میں تھا، تو جب ہم لوگ ان کے پاس آئے تو انہوں نے پوچھا: کیا تم لوگوں نے عصر پڑھ لی؟ ہم نے کہا: نہیں، ہم لوگ ابھی ظہر پڑھ کر پلٹے ہیں، تو انہوں نے کہا: تو عصر پڑھ لو، ہم لوگ کھڑے ہوئے اور ہم نے عصر پڑھی، جب ہم پڑھ چکے تو انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے:  یہ منافق کی نماز ہے کہ بیٹھا عصر کا انتظار کرتا رہے یہاں تک کہ جب سورج شیطان کے دونوں سینگوں کے درمیان ہو جائے،  ( غروب کے قریب ہو جائے )  تو اٹھے اور چار ٹھونگیں مار لے، اور اس میں اللہ کا ذکر معمولی سا کرے ۔

Al-'Ala' narrated to us that he entered upon Anas bin Malik in his house in Al-Basrah, when he had finished Zuhr, and his house was beside the Masjid. When we entered upon him, he said: 'Have you prayed 'Asr?' We said: 'No, we have just finished Zuhr.' He said: 'Pray 'Asr.' So we got up and prayed, and when we finished he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: That is the prayer of the hypocrite: he sits and delays 'Asr prayer until (the sun) is between the horns of the Shaitan, then he gets up and pecks four (Rak'ahs) in which he only remembers Allah a little.'

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  جس شخص کی عصر فوت گئی گویا اس کا گھربار لٹ گیا ۔

It was narrated from Salim, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The one who misses 'Asr prayer, it is as if he has been robbed of his family and his wealth.
