سنن نسائ

وہ مسجد میں آئے اور عبدالرحمٰن بن ام الحکم بیٹھ کر خطبہ دے رہے تھے تو انہوں نے کہا: اس شخص کو دیکھو بیٹھ کر خطبہ دے رہا ہے، حالانکہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا ہے: «وإذا رأوا تجارة أو لهوا انفضوا إليها وتركوك قائما»  اور جب وہ کوئی سودا بکتا دیکھیں یا کوئی تماشا نظر آ جائے تو اس کی طرف دوڑ جاتے ہیں اور آپ کو کھڑا ہی چھوڑ دیتے ہیں   ( الجمعہ: ۱۱ ) ۔

It was narrated that Ka'b bin 'Ujrah said that: He entered the masjid and 'Abdur-Rahman bin Umm Al-Hakam was delivering the Khutbah while seated. He said: 'Look at this man who is delivering the khutbah while seated when Allah (SWT) says: And when they see some merchandise or some amusement they disperse headlong to it, and leave you standing.'
