سنن نسائ

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  سورج اور چاند اللہ تعالیٰ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں، ان دونوں کو نہ تو کسی کے مرنے سے گرہن لگتا ہے نہ کسی کے پیدا ہونے سے، جب تم ان دونوں کو گرہن لگا ہوا دیکھو تو نماز پڑھو یہاں تک کہ یہ صاف ہو جائیں ۔

It was narrated that Abu Bakrah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The sun and moon are two signs of Allah(ﷺ), and they do not become eclipsed for the death or birth of anyone. If you see that then pray until it (the eclipse) is over.'

ہم لوگ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ سورج کو گرہن لگ گیا، تو آپ اپنا کپڑا گھسیٹتے ہوئے جلدی سے اٹھے، اور دو رکعت نماز پڑھی یہاں تک کہ وہ چھٹ گیا۔

It was narrated that Abu Bakrah said: We were sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) when the sun became eclipsed. He leapt up, dragging his garment and prayed two rak'ahs until the eclipse was over.
