سنن ابوداؤد

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خیانت کرنے والے مرد، خیانت کرنے والی عورت اور اپنے بھائی سے بغض و کینہ رکھنے والے شخص کی شہادت رد فرما دی ہے، اور خادم کی گواہی کو جو اس کے گھر والوں ( مالکوں ) کے حق میں ہو رد کر دیا ہے اور دوسروں کے لیے جائز رکھا ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: «غمر» کے معنیٰ: کینہ اور بغض کے ہیں، اور «قانع» سے مراد پرانا ملازم مثلاً خادم خاص ہے۔

Amr bin Shuaib on his father's authority told that his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم rejected the testimony of a deceitful man and woman, of one who harbours rancour against his brother, and he rejected the testimony of one who is dependent on a family, and he allowed his testimony for other. Abu Dawud said: Ghimr means malice and enimity ; qani (dependant), a subordinate servant like a special servant.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: خیانت کرنے والے مرد اور خیانت کرنے والی عورت کی، زانی مرد اور زانیہ عورت کی اور اپنے بھائی سے کینہ رکھنے والے شخص کی گواہی جائز نہیں ۔

The tradition mentioned above (No. 3593) has also been transmitted by Sulayman ibn Musa through a different chain of narrators. This version has: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The testimony of a deceitful man or woman, of an adulterer and adulteress, and of one who harbours rancour against his brother is not allowable.
