سنن ابوداؤد

میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ظہر پڑھتا تو ایک مٹھی کنکری اٹھا لیتا تاکہ وہ میری مٹھی میں ٹھنڈی ہو جائے، میں اسے گرمی کی شدت کی وجہ سے اپنی پیشانی کے نیچے رکھ کر اس پر سجدہ کرتا تھا۔

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: I would offer my noon prayer with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and took a handful of gravels so that they might become cold in my hand and I placed them (before me) so that I may put my forehead on them at the time when I would prostrate. I did this due to the intensity of heat.

ہم نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے، مؤذن نے ظہر کی اذان کہنے کا ارادہ کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ( ظہر ) ٹھنڈی کر لو ، پھر اس نے اذان کہنے کا ارادہ کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ٹھنڈی کر لو ، اسی طرح دو یا تین بار فرمایا یہاں تک کہ ہم نے ٹیلوں کے سائے دیکھ لیے، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: گرمی کی شدت جہنم کے جوش مارنے سے ہوتی ہے لہٰذا جب گرمی کی شدت ہو تو نماز ٹھنڈے وقت میں پڑھو ۔

Abu Dharr said: We were in the company of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. The muadhdhin intended to call for the Zuhr prayer. He said: Make it cooler. He then intended to call for prayer. He said twice or thrice: Make it cooler. We then witnessed the shadow of the mounds. He then said: The intensity of heat comes from the bubbling over of the Hell ; so when the heat is violent, offer (the Zuhr) prayer when it becomes cooler.

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب گرمی کی شدت ہو تو نماز کو ٹھنڈی کر کے پڑھو، ( ابن موہب کی روایت میں «فأبردوا عن الصلاة» کے بجائے «فأبردوا بالصلاة» ہے ) ، کیونکہ گرمی کی شدت جہنم کی لپٹ سے ہے ۱؎۔

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: When the heat is violent, offer (the Zuhr) prayer when it becomes fairly cool, for the violent heat comes from the bubbling over the Hell.

بلال رضی اللہ عنہ ظہر کی اذان اس وقت دیتے تھے جب سورج ڈھل جاتا تھا۔

Jabir bin Samurah reported that Bilal used to call for the noon prayer when the sun had declined.
